Hello Spiralizer... Where have you been my whole life?!?!?

My sister in law finds the coolest things.  A few months ago she came over for dinner and brought along her new purchase.  She is a pesceterian (she doesn't eat meet but eats fish) and eats really healthy.  She found this AWESOME blog and cooking tool.  It spiralizes your veggies. Ummm yes please!  It is crazy easy to use and a great substitute for pasta (we still eat pasta though).  We try to use the spiralizer once a week and try new things, but some of the recipes are so good.  Even the kids like to make the food with us.  One of the first things we spiralized was an apple and they ate it all up!  Slowly but surely they will try things.  They will eat the zucchini noodles alone but put them in a recipe or substitute them for the pasta noodles and you would think it was the worst thing ever!

You have to check out this blog.  The videos alone will make you want to spiralize everything!

Here are some of our favorite!

The sweet potato recipe is incredible!

Check this out on Amazon.  It was around $30.00  Worth every penny!

Check out this blog and get inspiralized!

What is this blog all about?

Having kids can change how you view things?  It changes how you view your world and your legacy.  Since I have had my littles, I have been constantly looking at how I am raising them and what I can do to be better.  I want my kids to be exposed to healthy, responsible living.  Over the last few years I have found different books and blogs and friends that make recommendations.  I will adopt things, I will try things and some things stick and some won't.  Trying to adopt a healthy, green lifestyle can be challenging.  I am not perfect, our lifestyle is not perfect, but our journey is real and honest.  We try to eat organic as much as possible, but sometimes McDonalds or Chik-Fil-A is calling our name.  In the midst of this crazy, messy life I believe I can adopt some green routines that will work for us.

I know there is so much information out there that is confusion and contradictory.  I want to teach my kids to listen to the noise and make healthy decisions but to also enjoy life.  Eating fruit by the foot won't kill you, using spray sunscreen sometimes is not the end of the world.  But there is information out there and living in the dark is not good either.

I started this blog so I could be honest about our successes and our failures and I could hopefully find some recommendations along the way.  Jump in and comment when you have a chance.  I am always looking for the opportunity to try something new and healthy!
